SPECIAL ITEMS To help our customers be more successful, we offere the following hand picked accessories based on my lifetime of shooting / gunsmithing/ and time spent in the outdoors.  DOVETAIL SLOT BLANKS
For a great "Finished look when removing a rear sight, use a STEEL dovetail filler blank. We offer a "Traditional" flat topped dovetail blank reminiscent of the older Winchester/Marlin/Savage rifles from the past century. This blank will fill the sharp edged "slot" left when the factory rear sight is removed. Available in Blue $8 A note about dovetail blanks. To make a blank that would perfectly match the flats or contour of a factory barrel isn't very practical since those dimensions all vary depending on make and model. These blanks are made slightly oversize and may require fitting, tapping in, etc. a perfectly shaped blank would be difficult due to sharp blank edges that would deform during installation.
We have STAINLESS also available in the modern rounded top version shown below.
Stainless $9 Stainless blanks are not available in the "Vintage" shape. (Dovetail blanks require slight fitting to your rifles dovetail.

FOR THOSE OVERSIZE DOVETAIL SLOTS (ie: ROSSI and others with slightly loose slots) Plug Screws  We have these screws available inboth 8-40 and 6-48 sizes. These are often lost and re- placements are difficult to find. Use the 8-40 for Marlin and Henry Receivers (and Henry Octagon Barrels) and the 6-48 for most other firearm applications We offer them here to help keep your gun looking neat and original.  This kit includes each of the screws, wrenches, and soft metal shims used with our windage adjustable sights. $4 SIGHT ADJUSTMENT PUNCH  A Good Brass Punch Is hard to find. This elegant tool is used to drift Skinner Dovetail Sights for Windage Adjustment and to remove and replace front sights and Dovetail Blanks. Our punch has a special "FLAT" to glide along the bottom of the dovetail slot and give you a better purchase on the drifted sight. This is the same punch I have used for years and still use today in the Skinner Sight Shop Shipped with the three sizes Hex Key Wrenches used to mount and adjust SKINNER SIGHTS. (.050", 1/16", 3/32) not shown Protect the gun and use proper tools to install and adjust your SKINNER SIGHTS! $20 AS SEEN ON TRIGGER TIME TV  THIS !!!! Is one of those items you see and instantly think.... "WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THIS??" Steve Anderson is the guy who DID think and its GENIOUS! This SPRING LOADED sight driver eliminates most need for a hammer and punch to REMOVE, INSTALL, and ADJUST your dovetailed sights. It is excellent for adjusting windage on the Skinner Sights. The amount of impact is easily controlled via how much the spring is retracted before releasing. From a very gentle "TAP" to a more forceful "WHACK" and more easily controlled. No more slipping and causing other damage. I've been using one for several years now and wouldn't be without it. Steve and I collaborated to bring this out with both our unique Skinner FLAT on one side of the punch to better follow the bottom of the dovetail slot and give more purchase on the sight AND... Nylon on one end for a total non marring punch for use on brass or steel and when more impact is needed, the brass end will be softer than the steel sights yet have enough impact to move the sight as needed. This is the best of both worlds! Try one out.... They are amazing! "Safe Sided" Triangular File  One of our "Little Tricks"We use in the SKINNER SIGHT Shop is what we call a "SAFE" sided file. This is a standard 6 inch triangular file (60 deg) that has the teeth on one side ground off. Using this file allows you to file only on the "SLOPE" of the sight and not change the depth of cut. You can do this to your own file or buy one from us. We offer them here for our customers convenience. (files can be hard to grind...) $20 TAP AND DRILL SETS We know there are some "DYI" customers out there. You have the ability to do a simple drill and tap (like on a Henry H001 Cover) and would prefer to "Do It Yourself" In the world of Firearms there are two common sight mounting screw sizes. Most common is the size 6-48 screw yet most Marlin and Henry Rifles (Lever Action Models) use the more robust 8-40 size screw. These are not common "hardware store" sizes and its often difficult to find the correct tap and drill set. To make that easier we now offer them as a set. A set consists of ONE tap and ONE Drill for the size you choose.  These are the same tools we use in the SKINNER SIGHT Shop
