Rio Grande Express


 Required front sight height is generally slightly taller than the factory front sight.  We offer a replacement front sight sized to fit the oversize Rossi dovetail which is tall enough to be trimmed to the exact  height needed for your rifle.  Please read the information on our FAQ page for front sight information.

          SKINNER Rio Grande "ALASKAN"

This sight "STREAMLINES" the top of  the Rio Grande receiver and places the aperture 1/2" closer to the shooters eye.  Developed first for the Marlin 1895/336 rifles, we had many customer requests for a Rossi Rio Grande version.

For a GREAT sight picture with the Rossi 92, try one of our BARREL MOUNT
sights.  The Barrel Mount replaces the factory rear sight and "Usually" works with the factory front sight.  Minimal fitting required,

APERTURE, (.125") the 
BARREL MOUNT can accept any of our 5 APERTURES

Rossi Dovetails are "generally" about .015" larger than the standard 3/8" American DT.

SKINNER SIGHTS has responded to this need by making oversized Dovetails
for the ROSSI shooters.  (.390") Because of variables beyond our control, we make these sights on the "large" side so you can fit it perfectly to your rifle.

THESE SIGHTS WORK!  We are asked daily, "Does the aperture work that far forward???"  The answer is emphatically YES IT DOES....   Amazingly well!
                      Fully Windage and Elevation Adjustable.

For QUICK and ACCURATE shooting, take the aperture out and shoot it as a  Ghost Ring sight.  Just look through the "ring" and focus the front sight on your target.  Concentrate on Trigger Pull instead of, "where in the notch is my sight?"

Machined from SOLID BARSTOCK, this sight will most likely work with the factory front sight.  (Steel front sights are still to come We do NOT have front sights available at this time)

      This little powerhouse is not only FUN but effective.
     Guys...  Beware....  You will love this adventure into the 
"Old West" but use caution.  If your "Lady Friends" find out
    you have one, you may not get it back!!!  Something about
the RANCH HAND and a SKINNER SIGHT brings out  the
       "TAKE ON THE WORLD...." attitude in all of us.

          PLEASE READ THIS PRIOR TO ORDERING
At first we thought ALL Ranch Hands were built with .375" dovetails (as opposed to the usual .390" found in other Rossi Rifles).  However...  We have enough feed back from customers to know that SOME have .375" and others have .390".  We have no serial number data or other identifying information to determine which you may have.  Our .390 "CAN" be fit to the smaller dovetails.  It will take a bit more fitting but is a way to be "certain" what you order will fit.  If you remove the factory sight first and measure, you may be able to get a better idea prior to ordering.

To make things "even cooler....."  use one of our specially designed SKINNER CASES to transport and store your Ranch Hand.
